Yunjx is an independent currency conversion tool and educational resource. We built it because checking a fair exchange rate should take seconds, require no account, and respect your privacy.
What we do
Our core product is a free currency converter calculator covering 16 major world currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, CAD, AUD, CHF, and more. The calculator fetches a daily exchange rate table, caches it in your browser for 24 hours, and performs all conversions locally.
Around the calculator, we publish original guides explaining how exchange rates actually work: how rates are set, why your bank quotes a different number than the one you see online, how transfer fees stack up, and practical strategies for travel money and international transfers. Every article is written for clarity first, with no jargon assumed.
How the tool works
The converter requests daily reference rates from a public exchange rate API using USD as the base currency. Cross-currency conversions, such as EUR to JPY, are computed by normalizing through USD. When rates are fetched successfully, they are stored in your browser's localStorage for 24 hours so repeat visits load instantly without another request.
Amounts you type are never transmitted to us. There is no user account system, no database of user inputs, and no login. The calculation happens entirely in your browser, which is the architecture we would want as users ourselves.

When we describe typical fee ranges or historical rate behavior, we describe general patterns that consumers can verify, and we encourage readers to always compare live quotes before transacting. We update articles when the landscape changes materially.
